THE
ORGANIZATION
"Winkelman's
Environmentally Responsible Construction (WERC) company is
a division of Eco-Domes LLC. Eco-Domes LLC is a newly formed
company building on the Environmentally Responsible Construction
success previously engaged in as part of The WATER Foundation.
In
1988, we began producing and syndicating educational network
radio programs featuring Do-It-Yourself conservation tips.
Starting with a few stations in 1989, we have grown to air
on over 2000 radio stations in America, the World Wide Christian
Radio (WWCR), and the Armed Forces Radio Networks (AFRTS)
around the world. Among our radio properties are Natural Ways™,
Outdoor Trivia®, Ocean Planet Trivia, Frog Friendly® Tips,
and Eco-Auto® Tips. Our award-winning programs have the largest
audience of any conservation program on radio today, measured
by Arbitron to be over 10,000,000 adult listeners (ages 25-54).
Our primary topics are: Water, Energy, Nature, and Health.
Our state of the art production studios house the capability
to produce our educational vignettes and distribute them to
our network of 2000+ radio affiliates.
As
the radio syndication gained momentum, listeners began requesting
information, installation and service on conservation technologies
described in our radio tips. In 1996-97 we built an environmentally
responsible headquarters building near Brainerd, MN to display
and demonstrate more of the technologies. As the interest
and orders for technology began to increase, TWF organized
a team of consultants, engineers and contractors to help its
customers.
TWF
personnel travel to locations in the five state Midwest area
for consulting/planning meetings, workshops, constructing
and servicing select projects as necessary to make our business
flourish. TWF also has associations with Energy/Water/Building
technicians, educators and professional installers in many
areas of the country. Our track record and national business
base will show that we are capable of handling needs for both
small and large projects. |

| Ralph
Jacobson,
founder and majority owner of IPS, Inc., has been a building
contractor for 25 years - during which his goal has been to
make a career working with solar energy in Minnesota. Toward
that end, he’s been trained as an energy auditor, a solar installer,
and a materials scientist (B.S. Mat. Sci., University of Minnesota,
1989). Since getting in way over his head in business, Ralph
has been struggling with the thorny problem of how to sell solar
energy where very little market exists. But has nonetheless
enjoyed assembling a crackerjack team of RE technicians. This
has led to his current interests in solar market development,
and in building effective local organizations and partnerships
for the deployment of solar energy. Ralph is currently the treasurer
of the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society, and loves speaking
about any aspect of solar technology he can convince you he’s
qualified to talk about. Invite him to your next event. |
