Frog Friendly Tips are practical and unforgettable radio tips focused on conservation-orientated Do-it-Yourself products and related issues. They are constructed to feature the local hard lines dealer as the source of supply for the products or services discussed in the tip or the national break. To date, The WATER Foundation is aware of about 2,000 stores who have used our programs in their local market. This show currently measures over 5,000,000 adult listeners per day (via the Arbitron rating services.)

GreenGuide was first published in 1991, with the most recent version completed in May 1996 for Ace Hardware Corp, as part of their "Conservation initiative." Since the first edition, it had been presented to over 11,000 hardware stores and home centers. GreenGuide provides stores with practical ways to reduce their operational costs, reduce waste, conserve resources and increase business from greater sales of conservation-related products and services.

The WATER Foundation recently received a grant from the Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance to study cost benefits of waste reduction and recycling, and the operating benefits of successful community conservation programs for the local hardware dealers. In addition, The WATER Foundation produces educational pieces for vendors and corporate sponsors, further enhancing their conservation outreach efforts. In conjunction with members of the hardware industry sponsoring The WATER Foundation's radio series, you will find many of their promotional materials in dealer stores, educating consumers on conserving natural resources.
